In 1990 he killed his wife and was convicted of murder for which he served 12 years being released in 2001.
In 2013 he killed Craig Mackenzie 40 at a flat in Milton Street, Abbeyhill, Edinburgh and was convicted of Culpable homicide. He stabbed him 32 times after hearing voices and said that Craig Mackenzie had been drugging him and raping him.
Craig Mackenzie was a convicted murderer who murdered David Edwards in Edinburgh in 1993.
